Rollover Crash on I-15 Injuries Driver, Passenger

We told you about a rollover accident which took place on the Las Vegas Strip on the final day of May. In that case, a driver ran a red light and struck two vehicles before rolling over, and one of the occupants of the other vehicles was hurt. This week, another rollover crash took place in Vegas – but this time, only a single vehicle was involved.
Early yesterday morning about 4:45 am, a minivan was traveling north on I-15. It began drifting to the right and went off the roadway near the exit ramp to westbound Charleston Boulevard (which curves back under the freeway). The minivan then rolled over in the dirt area to the right of I-15 and ended up facing the wrong direction on the northbound ramp to I-15 from South Grand Canyon Parkway.

The male driver of the minivan was hospitalized at University Medical Center in critical condition, while the male passenger suffered serious injuries and was also taken to UMC. Nevada Highway Patrol believes that alcohol may have been a factor in the auto accident.

Despite the nature of the injuries to the driver, he will still probably be held accountable for the rollover crash. That makes him to blame for the injuries to his passenger, because Nevada law states that drivers are responsible for the safety of their passengers. Therefore, the passenger could file a personal injury lawsuit against the minivan driver in the hopes of getting reimbursed for medical expenses and compensated for lost wages due to work absenteeism.
